Maybe you want to be more active, but it has been a struggle to get started. Any of this sound familiar? Then plan to attend the Take 5 to Feel Alive Community Forum which is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the multi-purpose room at the HACC campus, 735 Cumberland Street, Lebanon from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Age Wave Initiative of Lebanon County. Speakers at the Community Forum include John Sygielski, PhD, HACC President, and Christopher Sciamanna, M.D., primary care physician at Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Sygielski will address how to increase one’s personal motivation for being physically active. Dr. Sciamanna, an expert in healthy aging, will address how people can increase their strength and endurance just by regularly doing some specific exercises.
In addition to the speakers, the Community Forum will have roundtable discussions for attendees to talk about their challenges with physical activity. Attendees will also pick up tips and resources to make physical activity easy, fun and social.
